Evaluation

Scheduling during my schedule process, I believed that there were some aspects that I could have improved on and other aspects I believed to be on top of. For example, during my scheduling process, I believed one of the hardest aspects is creating the pitch and I believed that I was very creatively efficient not wasting a time with coming up with an idea. However, if I was to look at my scheduling from a different perspective there were many flaws to a lot of my decisions. I planned too much for a production that didn't need for a production that did not require that much. But thanks to my client discussions I was able to alter the things we talked about and correct my mistakes. But further, beyond this point, I believe that there were flaws in my scheduling that could have been avoided. My overall effort into perfecting everything should have been much greater in comparison to the idea that I originally composed. A good thing that I came from my pre-production will have to be the ...

Analysing a Promotional Video - Facebook Here Together

Prior to this promotional video for Facebook, Facebook had were going through a lot of turmoil in terms of how they were perceived in the public eye so in order to win the users they here together. This promotional video in my own respected opinion is very effective as i believe it does what it intends to do effectively by reminding users as to why they used Facebook in the first place. They did this by showing clips of what you would typically see on Facebook such as funny video's, family photos and updated statuses. As Facebook is in the same professional field as the client i can use this as inspiration. Sound - narration runs throughout the whole video explaining that Facebook will do better to become the app people once signed up for and accompanying this is sound from the app such as notification bells clicking of mouses and typing of the keyboard Shot types -  montage sequence of the app in use to remind the audience as to why the app is well mixed with shots from the...

Conversation With Client

My first conversation with Fruitbowl Tech allowed me to realize many things. one of them being the overall feel of the promotional video felt as if I had three ideas in one. three strong ideas but nether the less three ideas. we discussed that all three ideas would be very strong as individual ideas so progressing forward from this conversation I will be deciding which idea from my initial pitch to change into one strong idea. another thing we discussed was that the time I initially wanted to give this production as I'm realistic and more align for a feature film let alone for a 1-minute commercial. this will be altered accordingly to allow us to save money and ensure that the video is up to standard. my initial idea that i had curated was a video that invoked emotion that allowed the audience to feel almost inspired to use this app instead of shoving uses of the app down one's throat I still need to add some applications feature to the promotional video so I will try to add ...

Pre-Production Planning

Commission FruitBowl-Tech has approached me to create a promotional video for their latest product, a mobile-based social media application that allows users to share their family history and family tree to not only allow people to learn more people about their family but to also discover new members that they didn't know they may have had. The app will have basic social media features such as an integrated chat system for family members, a timeline/feed, and many other features seen within modern social media applications. the promotional video should present a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere for the audience. the content within the promotional video must also express the essence of the brand with the main messages portrayed are the importance of keeping contact with members within your family tree. The success of the promotional video will be assessed by app registration, brand engagement, and "buzz" in the press and social media. Primary Research For my promot...

Analysing a promotional video - Ancestry

Conext The purpose of this promotional video is to promote the service ancestry by also incorporating the Brexit movement within it. This marketing scheme is effective because it is modern and in tune to current social events. This allows this to be more memorable for an audience whilst bringing in more clicks so that they can learn about their heritage through ancestry. when making my promotional video i need to be aware of such things to allow the video to have a simillar effect Sound Soundtrack - within this promotional video they have created a song to allow the promotional video to be more memorable to an audience. the fact that it has different people in different scenarios gives the feel of unity throughout the video once again relating to the social event of Brexit. Shots This promotional video doesn't do anything out of the ordinary when it comes to shots as it is just a series of light zooms and regular cuts. this allows the video to get straight to the point when it co...

Pitch

Idea 1 The scene begins with an establishing shot of a sofa within a living room designed in the style of which a living room will look like within the 1960s. the scene continues forward with a family jumping onto and sitting on the sofa to then enjoy family time. the family will be wearing generic clothing that is usually associated with the 1960s. facial expressions will be very very vibrant and happy to show that they're enjoying the time that they're having. still keeping the same establishing shot, the scene progresses with the family leaving and crew from the production team rearranging the set and creating a scenery of an 80s living room. the same family will return to the set wearing traditional 80s fashion whilst continuing to enjoy quality family time.  this scene repeats where the set changes into a traditional 90s and 00s living room with the cast dressing accordingly. the scene then transitions to a shot of a phone where the living room set in the 00s is on the scr...

Analysing Promotional Video - Meet iPhone 12

Analysing Promotional Video - Meet iPhone 12  Context within apple commercials, the main focus within them are to promote and sell their products to the audience and do this by showing their products in various aspects of life. In this iPhone 12 advert this is exactly what has been done here. As you cans see within the advert, the phone is being used in different day-to-day scenarios that are relatable to an audience. For example, to show the speed of the phone the footage of real life is slowed and the phone speed is normal to show in a hyperbolic way that the phone is faster than life. Such hyperbolic creative shots like this is what makes the advert memorable to an audience. This is something i want to incorporate into my work  as this is a very efficient way to market a product.  Sound Non-Diegetic:   An upbeat soundtrack can be heard to match the pacing of the video. This can also be in relation to the speed of the phone. a gust of wind can be heard when the pho...

Easy rider response

Easy rider response  Within this scene, a variety of different techniques that range  from editorial techniques to audi o techniques   is used  to convey the emoti on of boredom  and portray the image of what substance  potentially  abuse feels like for the audience. The scene begins with a still eye-level shot with diegetic  sound, which potentially could be some construction,   of 4 adults who appear to be spending there day within a cemetery .  From the moment this scene opens, the body language that these  actors portray implies that they have reached a dead-end within their lives;  I would go as far as to say that they appear to be going through some  sort of existential  crisis. What drives this point even f urther is the lack of movement from the camera and sound  with the addition of the restlessness of the characters sitting down as if  they are  longing for something to happen with...
